I went to Jay's link, and yes, that's him. The article mentions nothing of Playgirl, however. I remember seeing his TV modelling ads from time to time after the Playgirl 'Man of the Year' wrap. He lost the stache for pro modelling, but still a hot man. The pic of him now is nice, but yeah, the guy from '76 will always (to me) be the hottest man in Playgirl ever. Thanks for showing him again.
In the 1980s I was an art director for a big department store designing catalogs. I booked David White and many other models many times. White was a busy guy in those days and not always in town. He didn't always have a moustache but always carried a fake one with him. I remember that he a pleasant normal guy and very professional.

I booked him in the 1970s for an ad campaign for a small retail clothing store chain. He was a joy to work with back then.
