Novak Djokovic has arguably had the best season in the history of tennis. But I don't recall Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal or any of the greats that preceded them ever winding up in this position by September -- on his back, retiring from a Davis Cup match that was ultimately completed (and lost) by teammate Viktor Troicki, which sent Argentina to the finals against Spain. Nadal's knees essentially cost him a year once he got to the top -- will Nole's back do the same to him? Perhaps it's Roger Federer's ability to have multiple "best years ever" that ultimately set him apart from his current competition: He's like the male equivalent of Chris Evert.
