What the F**k?

I love it when people complain about how damaged they are by something that went viral on the Internet but it's this whining that actually BRINGS MY ATTENTION to the incident in the first place! (Oops.) Such is the case with Hermon Raju -- aka the "crazy train lady" who was caught berating a Metro North conductor while repeatedly mentioning how "educated" she was. I just saw the video this morning HERE -- she's now seeking PR help to clean up her reputation, which probably would have been fine if she hadn't ... sought PR help to clean up her reputation -- and while she is without a doubt pretty awful in the clip, I'd be LIVID and INDIGNANT too if a train conductor had the balls to warn me about the "language" I was using in a conversation I was having with a friend on-board. I mean seriously: Have you ever walked behind a group of 12-year-olds these days? There are more F-bombs in a block than a 1990s Madonna appearance on David Letterman. And wasn't one of the biggest songs of 2010 called "Fuck You"? I guess the expression "It's not what you say, it's how you say it" has a new poster gal. (I needed a break!) She might also wanna look into the expression "Quit while you're behind" -- but I agree that this conductor needs to shut the fuck up and mind her own business.

"I'm not a crazy person."

The fact she needed to make that statement should tell her something.

Ken, would you really drop the F-bomb on a train (multiple times)even in conversation with a friend - when you are in close proximity to other travellers? You can say that 12 years olds drop them plenty - but that's because they are 12 year olds. I think it had to be really bad if a conductor had to make her aware of it. Oh, and just because she is educated doesn't make not act like an asshole.

The woman is jerkish but I will say whatever the FUCK I want in public and I can't believe this conductor thinks she has any standing to police language. Yes, Harry, GASP, he really would drop the F-bomb in public, I feel certain. "Drop the F-bomb" is ridiculously square and uptight. People say the word "fuck" all the fucking time.

Also, Harry, you're saying it had to be bad for the conductor to act that way...really? So there is no chance the conductor is just totally uptight and Christ-y and using her position of authority to feel superior to people around her? I dunno, I've witnessed lots of times when people in uniforms take it upon themselves to enforce non-existent rules.

Again, the rider is a bit much (and the PR aspect is more than a bit much..."rape" is not being embarrassed on the 'Net), but the conductor should shut the fuck up and drive the train unless someone's language becomes threatening, not just BLUE.

I deal with this stuff on my commute daily. I don't have a problem with her using language in a conversation but when it is loud enough to the point it is a disturbance to other passengers, I have no issues with the conductor asking the woman to quiet down.

She was probably just embarrassed that someone pointed out she was loud.

Hey Matthew,

You will NOT say anything like that on MY train. I guarantee it.
