Remember the Alamo (Drafthouse)

If you haven't already heard about this chick who got tossed from the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater in Austin, Texas, for texting, your day is about to get a lot brighter. (It's the little things, people.) She later left management an expletive-filled voicemail letting them know how she felt about the joint's strict "no texting" policy, which they then turned into a public service announcement. After listening to it, I'm pretty sure SHE's being an asshole on purpose ...

P.S. This was particularly heartwarming given that I sat through "Beginners" on Saturday afternoon with this (gay) couple behind us who made small talk about the plot during the ENTIRE film. No matter how many attempts we made to (politely) encourage them to pipe down, they would NOT shut up. How I would have loved to have seen them get thrown out.

People who are not skilled in the social etiquettes of theatres should have the book thrown at them.

I sat through a West End producion with a cretinous eeenager seated next o me texing the whole way through the show. I felt that a public lashing was called for!!!!!
