If you haven't seen Anderson Cooper's story about what RentBoy fan George Reker -- a noted "expert" on preventing and curing homosexuality -- did to a young boy in the 1970s who was enrolled in one of his experimental therapies, then I urge you to watch it now. It's one of the most moving things I've seen in a long time.

Jim Burroway at Box Turtle Bulletin also conducted an in depth report on Kirk Murphy's story: What Are Little Boys Made Of
I'm crying.
I watched what I could on Cooper's show. Such a painful, enraging story. Reker and his ilk are monsters.
That people did this decades ago isn't all that shocking. Treatments for perceived "illnesses" have been pretty barbaric throughout history.
But to continue to defend what is essentially child abuse, or to cite it today as "research," is utterly unconscionable.
Groups like the Family Research Council need to be called out, and vigorously, for what they are: terrorist organizations.
