French Connection

Maybe a slight overreaction by Rafael Nadal, who advanced to his sixth French Open final with an easy win over Andy Murray. But the marquee match of Roger Federer vs. Novak Djokovic is on now -- and I'm hoping that delivers some real excitement.

Huh. I didn't think his reaction was all that strange considering the year and tournament he's had. I mean, who would have thought after the first round he had that he would beat both Soderling and Murray in straights to get to the final?

I suppose. I guess I expect people to react to a "match" rather than the totality of it all. But when you put it that way ...

Nadal gets to play for his 7th French Open title. I'd think that would deserve that type of reaction. It's funny, people fault Nadal all the time for stuff but think Federer is the classiest player ever, yet Federer is the least gracious winner and loser on the tour (other than Andy Roddick).
