The president and first lady made like locals while visiting the small Irish village of Moneygall on Monday, tossing back a pint of Guinness in the town where Obama's great-great-great-grandfather lived before emigrating to the United States during the Potato Famine 161 years ago. Speaking with Irish prime minister Enda Kenny during a whirlwind 24-hour visit, Obama said the relationship between the two countries "could not be stronger."
