Chaz in the (212)

On the heels of his mesmerizing appearance on Oprah and on the day of the premiere of his transitioning documentary, "Becoming Chaz," on OWN, Chaz Bono will be in Tribeca this evening signing copies of his just-released memoir, "TRANSition."

When: Tuesday, May 10, 7 p.m. Where: Barnes & Noble, 97 Warren St., New York City

Subway: A, C, or 1 Train to Chambers Street

This is Bono's third book -- remember "The End of Innocence: A Memoir" and "Family Outing"? -- and here's the video for the sole single ("Could've Been Love") from her band Ceremony's ill-fated debut album. "Hang Out Your Poetry" (1993). I'd never heard it before -- she kind of looks like all three members of Wilson Phillips rolled into one -- but it's not very good, sort of like Kathy Valentine's post-Go-Go's solo work, only way worse.

UPDATE: Look at what was being recommended if you like this post about Chaz Bono's book about becoming a man. (Is my blog trying to tell me something?)
