Although I thought we were in "marriage-or-nothing mode," here's some good news out of Colorado, where the state's civil unions bill passed the Dem-controlled Senate, with a grand total of one GOP lawmaker -- Sen. Ellen Roberts of Durango -- voting for it. The bill faces a tougher hurdle in the Repub-controlled House, so feel free to show your support Roberts' "bravery" by e-mailing her at ellen.roberts.senate@state.co.us. Perhaps a pat on the back will help other Republicans realize they too should choose to be on the right side of history, even if it's the version that will need to be rewritten very soon anyway.Wednesday, March 09, 2011
