President Clinton Honored at amfAR Gala

Last night's amfAR gala at Cipriani Wall Street -- the kick-off of New York Fashion Week -- drew a handsome New York City crowd. Still-married Chelsea Clinton presented her father with the AIDS foundation’s Award of Courage for "the work he has done, the work he is doing and the work he will continue to do." (Elizabeth Taylor and Diane von Furstenberg were also recognized.) Actor Cheyenne Jackson tweeted during President Clinton's acceptance speech that "charisma like this simply cannot be taught. beyond inspiring" (I concur). Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the evening, which celebrated the organization's 25th anniversary.

I'd Xanadu Cheyenne Jackson, in a tux or OUT OF ONE

Newly single Michael C. Hall gives the bears something to growl about

The original silver fox Richard Gere

Living legends Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Elton John and Dionne Warwick

The great Rosie O'Donnell (cannot wait for her new show on OWN)

Ridiculously good-looking couple alert: Keith Lieberthal and Julianna Margulies

The ever-dapper Liev Schreiber

And they said it wouldn't last: Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn, nearly 20 years later
