'You Could Practically Write a Book About What Happened to Me at the Club Today'

Friends back home always ask me if I still play tennis a lot like I did when I was younger. I try to explain to them that it's, um, a little more difficult here -- the supply-and-demand ratio is way off -- rendering tennis the elite sport Billie Jean King fought so hard to make it not be. But perhaps the Vanderbilt Tennis Club -- a new facility located in Grand Central Station slated to open in spring 2011 -- will change things for me. Sure, the one-court club has a yearlong waiting list and runs up to $210 per hour. But I'm thinking my good friend Anderson Cooper can pull some strings for me, especially if I round up Peter Davis for some doubles against AC and Gloria. It would be just ghastly not to take advantage of such a wonderful new place to play, wouldn't you agree?

Looks like Connors, plays like Jaeger
