Mariel Hemingway showed up at the Unity in Style Fundraiser down the street from me at the Metropolitan Pavilion over the weekend looking literally a fraction of her 48 (almost 49) years . (Wow!) I fell in love with Ernest's granddaughter when I first saw her as the precocious Tracy in Woody Allen's "Manhattan" (would you believe I only found out a week ago that that character was based on an actual teen Woody dated -- no, none of Mia's kids -- named Stacey Nelkin?) and used to stay up into the wee hours to sneak a peak at her film debut in "Lipstick" alongside big sis Margaux. I continued to love her through the '80s, even as good work became harder for her to find. That classic episode of "Roseanne" was probably the last time I can remember seeing Mariel acting, but I always think of her whenever Danielle Staub's daughter Chrstine appears on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey."

Separated at birth?
