While many of us think Madonna should leave movies alone forever -- and in her defense, when your debut is as flawless as "Desperately Seeking Susan" the only way is down -- I knew there was something hauntingly familiar about this wire photo of the budding director Breathless Ma-phony on the New York City set of her latest effort, "W.E." Still, somehow I doubt the young Ms. Ciccone was voted Most Likely to Direct at West Junior High School back in the early '70s.
