Peer-to-Pier

With the season's final Grand Slam event just days away, you can't walk three feet in the city without tripping over some kind of U.S. Open action. For one night this week -- under dark and cloudy skies -- Pier 54 was turned into a tennis stadium -- something Chelsea Piers sorely lacks -- for the Nike Primetime Knockout Tennis Event. Needless to say, only beautiful people -- including hunky Bradley Cooper -- were invited to come out and play:

Serena Williams, Bradley Cooper, Maria Sharapova, Sami Ahmad, John McEnroe and Roger Federer

Model Bar Refaeli teams up with Rafael Nadal for a little mixed doubles

Bradley Cooper shows Maria Sharapova why he's on the A-Team

Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Bar Refaeli, Victoria Azarenka, New York Giant Justin Tuck and John McEnroe

Johnny Mac

An injured Serena Williams acts as guest line judge (will we ever know the truth about this mystery glass she "stepped" on after Wimbledon -- and why she's still parading around in one of those boots?)

Where's Nancy Lieberman when you need her? Roger's gotta knock this buddy-buddy routine off with Rafa if he ever wants to beat him in a major again
