Even non-tennis fans have to marvel at
this incredible first-round match at Wimbledon between American John Isner and Nicolas Mahut of France, which is now tied 59-59 in the fifth set after 10 hours of play. The already-two-day-old dual is slated to resume tomorrow, but I cannot imagine how either man will even be able to get out of bed. Let's hope the pundits have Vicki Nelson and Jean Hepner lined up for interviews. These two hold the record for the longest match played in a single day -- six hours, 31 minutes -- and Nelson won that one in straight sets with a tiebreaker!
