Singer Jason Mraz delivered a gay rights song proposal at Elton John's Oscar party on Sunday night, saying he'd like to collaborate with the legendary singer on an "Ebony and Ivory" kind of number between gays and straights. Note to Jason: I have never heard your music before, but if you wear this outfit in the video, I'm sure Elton and all the gays will be on board real quick. (Via

Jason Mraz' music is great. There really is some good new music made since the 1980's :)
Never heard of the Scissor Sisters??? Check out this one:

The singer is cute, but I'd go for the bassist
Oops, sorry he is not the singer of the Scissor Sisters, but he could be his twin. Even got an album by Jason Mraz "Waiting for my rocket to come". Never heard it though...
Sorry, and feel free to delete or not to post my previous comment.
Kenneth, great choice of photo! But I am sure you HAVE heard his music, it has been impossible the past couple of years to avoid the delightful and catchy reggae-ish "I'm Yours". Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkHTsc9PU2A
OMG...can't believe you haven't heard of JM. He's the best thing to come along in awhile and I'm older than you K, and I live in Texas. My favs are "The Remedy", "I'm yours" and "Wordplay".
Guys: I played a couple of his songs on YouTube and I didn't recognize any of them. Keep in mind I don't listen to the radio, drive a car and am hopelessly stuck in the '80s. I do occasionally hear new stuff at Starbucks, but Jason must not have been on the playlist at the one I frequent!
Jason just won a Grammy this year. I'm a big fan and have all his CDs. He's been a great straight friend to the gay community. No harm that he's a cutie too.
Kenneth, Jason was a model in an Abercrombie catalog back in the day -- maybe late 90s. I don't remember the specifics, but one of his songs has been on the Hot 100 for something like a year.
My 3 year old daughter, Lily, is a big fan of "I'm Yours" which was on heavy rotation in our car (she would request that or "New Soul" by Yael Naim), so it's pretty much burned into my brain forever.
Now there's another advantage of becoming a parent!
