Episode 2 of HBO's "How to Make It in America" was even better than the first (the boys have great chemistry and the John Varvatos storyline was spot-on). But I forgot to mention the first thing about the show that won me over: the opening theme song. Michael thought it was an old Bill Withers song (that's how good it is) but it turns out it's "I Need a Dollar" by Aloe Blacc, an L.A. native born to Panamanian parents back in 1979. His AllMusic page says he's only released one album, back in '06, but something tells me this song might be just the thing to bring him to the next level.Friday, February 26, 2010
