Congrats to my longtime friend Mary Reid, whose new Art Rocks studio in Gilbert, Arizona -- her response to the state's ongoing slashing of cultural programs in schools -- made headlines today in The Arizona Repubilc, the very place we met working in circulation back in the '80s! (The cutie decked out in No. 11 is her son, Satchel.) Can't wait to bring AJ and Ally by next time I'm home, Mare!
