The accompanying album doesn't come out until Feb. 9, but here is your first listen of "Soldier of Love," the title track from the first new Sade record since "Lovers Rock" back in 2000.
I'm a longtime -- and HUGE -- fan dating back to the early days of "Your Love Is King," so am always very excited for new material by the Nigerian beauty. It will be interesting to see if Sade's long-successful strategy of releasing albums very sporadically works in today's music environment. (It certainly didn't work for the less-established Dido.) Given that Sade's demographic leans toward the CD-buying age, I think week one will be huge. From there, who knows?
