Here's an update to yesterday's post that Chastity Bono is undergoing a sex change. I think it's interesting that when "Entertainment Tonight" asked a dozen celebrities for their reaction to the news, the only one who wasn't readily accepting of it all was -- you guessed it -- Rosie O'Donnell. Florence Henderson's reaction was warm and motherly and Kathy Griffin's was HILARIOUS!!! (Naturallly, drag queen Flotilla DeBarge was MOST concerned about how this would make CHER feel!) I am not a Rosie O'Donnell fan. But I think you mis-represented her reaction. It was measured, but it was not disapproving or lacking in support. If anything, my assumption was that she actually knows (or has known) the woman and was hesitant to comment without more info, etc.
I don't really disagree with you at all, J.B. I guess I was just a little taken aback that she didn't offer a nod of support without needing more information first. I kind of took that to mean a hint of skepticism, which may or not not really be there. Something in her eyes ...
