German Engineering

After coming this close to raining on Roger Federer's Paris parade, Tommy Haas has kept up the high level of play beating compatriot Philipp Kohlschreiber in the semifinals of the Wimbledon warm-up in Halle. I'm counting on him to terrorize Novak Djokovic in today's final.

  • UPDATE:
He did it! Tommy "upset" Djokovic 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-1 Sunday to win the Gerry Weber Open for his first grass-court title. In doing so, the 31-year-old became the oldest ATP Tour winner this year. Haas has 12 career titles and now has won on all surfaces. (OK, not exactly a career Grand Slam, but shows a versatility you don't see much of these days!) This was his first victory since winning Memphis in February 2007. Time to get upset in the first round at Wimbledon ...
