  • Babes of Broadway: "The Leading Men IV," a benefit concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, was held last week at Birdland in New York City. It featured lots of great guys from Broadway, off-Broadway and cabaret -- like Jonathan Groff and Cody Green -- and included a number of out performers including Nick Adams ("Guys and Dolls"), Tom Andersen (award-winning cabaret star), Nicholas Rodriguez ("Tarzan"), Seth Rudetsky (Emmy-nominated writer/comic) and John Tartaglia ("Avenue Q," "Shrek"), who hosted. It raised over $10,000, more than any "Leading Men" concert ever. See all the Broadway hunks HERE.

  • The Barrying Type: Utah Rep. and Stephen Colbert leg-wrestling bitch Jason Chaffetz finds out the hard way that when you jump into bed with crack addicts, you end up inhaling some yourself. (WashPost)

  • Be on the Lookout, Boys: "Were the World Mine," that "little queer indie that could," is now available on-demand to 45 million cable customers across the country right now. (Check your local listings.) More info HERE.

  • Tale of Two Cities: Police officers in Moscow quickly suppressed a gay rights demonstration on Saturday, detaining dozens of protesters who hoped to showcase discrimination in Russia ahead of the Eurovision song contest final on Saturday evening. (NYT) Meanwhile halfway across the world, another country known for being equally as restrictive on liberal ideals was holding its first gay rally undisturbed. Some 2,500 pink-attired supporters of gay rights gathered in a park in Singapore on Saturday, to form a pink dot, which was photographed from a nearby building. (BBC)

  • Suddenly Senile: Brooke Shields is raging mad after finding out that two tabloid reporters posed as friends to check her dementia-suffering mother, Teri, out of the nursing home she was staying in so they could interview her for a story. “I intend to take every lawful action against all who were involved or who authorized this despicable act,” Shields said in a statement. This seems pretty sleazy to me, too. Is Kathy Griffin writing for the Enquirer, again? (People)

  • 'The Intelligent Homosexual': Acclaimed playwright Tony Kushner is back with a new show about "sexuality, and the housing market, and religion, and Marxism, and stuff like that." (AP)

  • Reverse Psychology: Roger Federer won his first title of the year yesterday, beating Rafael Nadal in straight sets in Madrid. It was a much-needed confidence boost for the Swiss star going into the French Open, yet you can't help but feel that Nadal was the luckier of the two. With his five-match winning streak versus Roger and his 33-match clay streak now off his back, he can go into Roland Garros feeling loose and vengeful -- just what Federer needs. (AP)

  • Miss Manners: Proper manners say outing is a violation of a person's privacy and not to do it. But when it comes to anti-gay politicians who lead double lives, Emily Post might make an exception. (Advocate)

  • Uniter in Chief: President Obama's wisdom and intellect routinely impress me. But his handling of the Notre Dame "abortion" situation shows why he won election so handily, turning the most negative situation into a positive one. (NYT)

  • 4.7 on the Richter Scale: A moderate earthquake rocked the Los Angeles region late Sunday. Although there were no immediate reports of any major injuries or damage, my friend Paul felt it all the way down in the Hillcrest section of San Diego. (AP)

  • Brotherly Love: There's a sweet photo essay in the "One in 8 Million" series in The Times that profiles Paul Bockwoldt, 28, who joined a predominantly gay rugby team on Randalls Island to bond with his brother John. (NYT)
