Diva vs. Diva

Admittedly, I am one of the small percentage of gay people who was born without the "remix" gene. But even I thought the idea of mashing Marilyn's "Baby U Left Me (In the Cold,)" arguably his catchiest and most timeless song, with The Gossip's "Standing in the Way of Control" sounded like a fun idea. (Two Marilyn posts in a as many weeks? You've got us Calling Your Name all over again, Maz!!!) But after listening to Oscar TG's finished product I'm not so sure.

Oh Marilyn, the surgeon's knife was not your friend...

I much prefer the good old days...

That was just plain awful. I'm all for mash-ups, remixes etc., but this was just Guantanimo Bay-esque. Whoever mixed it should have their hands & ears cut off, their eyes poked out & made to dress like a member of Kriss-Kross (or that ridiculous faux-Bjork monstrocity that Madonna wore recently) for their remaining days.

You're right. For instance, I LOVED the mash-up of "Riders in the Storm" and "Rapture." They really "went" together. This is like two separate songs that intermittently start and stop playing.
