And Justice for All?

As true as the New York Blade's new cover story is, it still makes me white with rage that we have to sit back and have our rights decided by minor-league political hacks -- state by state -- just because the current U.S. Supreme Court is packed with so many wusses they won't touch gay marriage with a 10-foot pole. ("Ooh, we don't want another Roe v. Wade" on our hands!) Were the justices on the bench in 1967 really that much braver when they declared Virginia's anti-miscegenation statute unconstitutional in Loving v. Virginia? Or are they still completely missing the point?
