Over on AfterElton, Lyle Masaki has posted a column about gay-themed TV shows he'd like to see on DVD. #1 on his list is the Showtime sitcom (circa 1984) Brothers, which starred Paul Regina as gay brother, Cliff Waters, and featured Phillip Charles MacKenzie as the ever-flaming Donald.
I was in junior high when this ground-breaking series first aired, and, believe it or not, I used to watch the show with my then-6-year-old brother, Shawn... Who knew we would one day grow up to find ourselves in a similar situation as Cliff, Joe (Robert Walden), and Lou (Brandon Maggart)? (I think I did!)
You can watch snippets from the show via a list of links to YouTube here, and sign a petititon to bring the series to DVD... In the meantime, enjoy part 1 of episode 1 below.

I used to love this show as a kid. I remember my mom would let me watch it on Showtime ... I wish I could see it again.
Thanks so much for this! I watched the first two episodes already. Paul Regina was a fine looking man. He died in 200s from cancer at age 50. Tragic.
What a great find! Brings back fond memories from eons ago.
I loved that show as a teen. Penny was my favorite.
