It's been a emotional roller coaster since the passage of Proposition 8, but finally we in the Empire State have a chance to do something proactive: As I'm sure you are aware, the time for same-sex marriage in New York is now. To make sure this happens, April 28th is Empire State Pride Agenda's Equality & Justice Day. Thousands of New Yorkers will travel to Albany to meet one-on-one with their lawmakers and tell their stories.
For the first time in history, we have a pro-LGBT majority in Albany. We are mere votes away from true justice and equality for the LGBT community in New York state.
