Die Young, Stay Pretty? Naw!

Debbie in 2009 vs. 1981, above
and the 2009 model vs. 2007, below
With the tabloids -- and that Matt guy -- in a tizzy 24/7 analyzing every inch of Madonna's rebuilt face, it's almost kind of quaint to see the British are still interested enough in Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry to give her the same tabloid treatment. For the record, these two women are completely different "types" -- Madonna being of the healthy-eating, disciplined fitness variety and Debbie a member of the yo-yo diet camp -- but I will say that Deb, a full 14 years Madonna's senior --has achieved a far better result with her face lifts etc., and still maintains a glimmer of naturalness that should be an example to all people of a certain age. Yes, she can still not look great when she lets herself get a little sloppy (and call me shallow, but I've always believed her slight weight problem during the release of "Rockbird" greatly damaged her chances at a full-on solo comeback). But the woman is 63 years old these days, so when you think about that, she looks pretty fucking great. Madonna's just 50 and if the trend continues, we're going to be acknowledging her replacing Cher as the gay icon of a generation for a whole new set of reasons ...

if we were to drain both ladies i think the amount of stuffing from our Debbie would be significantly larger...but! she does look fab

id love to see more skin exposure
just to see if the face remotely matches the body ;)

I saw Debbie in Dallas at the True Colors tour and was not loving her look at all- she was wearing an ONJ 'Physical' headband and an aerobic looking outfit that just wasn't working. She looks FAB now and the work she had done looks really good and natural, which is hard to do. I am glad she is looking glam again!

Nah, Madonna's face will settle her real problem is not "bad" surgery at all, it's really her weight. When she was fuller during Re-Invention and even part of Confessions, any work was unnoticed and uncommented upon. Meanwhile, Debbie looks great (if SHOCKINGLY different from a year ago...) but was trashed in one of the U.S. tabloids again for dressin' ugly. Her only appearances in celeb mags for the past 15 years have been to consistently pick apart all of her clothes, even when she's wearing stuff that's SUPPOSED to be out-there. Seems mean-spirited.
