Bunch of Bradys

The Post is reporting that four of the Brady kids were in town this week for a taping of "The Rachael Ray Show" when they were spotted grabbing a bite to eat at Padre Figlio, an East Side Italian steakhouse. Co-owner Mario Cerra says that all his customers were giddy noticing the world's most famous step-siblings, and I can't say I blame 'em. (I'd have been all over that table begging for pictures!)

As it would happen, I actually have a little connection to Miss Baby Talk, Baby Talk, It's a Wonder You Can Walk herself. Susan Olsen and L.A.-based writer Ted Nichelson are slated to release a photo-packed coffee table book, "Love to Love You Bradys: The Bizarre Story of The Brady Bunch Variety Hour," in September, 2009, and they asked me if they could include my blog homage to Fake Jan, aka Geri Reischl, who infamously replaced Eve Plumb on the show TV Guide ranked as one of the five "Worst Shows of All-Time." Naturally I'm honored to have anything to do with a Brady, especially one with a lisp. Be on the lookout for "Love to Love You Bradys" this fall. (To obtain more information, click HERE.)

I think I'm one of the rare individuals who caught every episode of this (in retrospect) abomination. I was 10 years old, and ABC was huge. Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Donny & Marie, Captain & Tennille, Battle of the Network Stars.

I'd watch anything on ABC, even Baretta and Starsky & Hutch. And hey, I was 10, and I'd loved HR Puffinstuff and the other Krofft shows. But now? Even the pictures spell disaster!
