This young guy's mug is plastered all over the city in the new Geoffrey Beene ad campaign. Now don't get me wrong, I think he's really handsome. But -- pardon my self-loathing, homophobic observation -- doesn't he look really gay? (Not sure if you can see his eyes in the top photo, but boy are they, uh, coiffed.) Of course I know there's nothing wrong with being (or looking) gay, I'm just curious who they're trying to appeal to with this. Gay guys? Metrosexuals? Or straight guys, thinking all male models look "gay" to them anyway? Just curious what you thought. Of course, it certainly wouldn't be the first time Geoffrey Beene opted for a gay ad campaign ...
