Ricky Martin shows off his twins (Matteo and Valentino) in two new People magazines. They're gorgeous, Ricky, just like you. Now isn't it about time you did the right thing? We sure could use you in the Role Model column about now.

speaking of day without a gay - why are you posting today?
High Rhapsody, I COULDN'T agree with you MORE! I am sooooooooo sick of militant gay men & women ALWAYS pushing for EVERY, FAMOUS gay person to "come out." WHY should ANYONE have to announce his/her sexuality?? I am 44 years old and have NEVER, NEVER, NEVER heard ANY of the straight people I know make a PUBLIC announcement that they're "straight." They simply LIVE THEIR LIVES! RICKY'S main concern probably IS and SHOULD BE being a ROLE MODEL to HIS children! I know MY kids DON'T need HIM or ANY OTHER FAMOUS GAY or STR8 person to be THEIR "role model!"
I remember when Ricki came out with his big performance at the Grammy's, and BANG! The english-speaking knew who he was.
He was well-known in the spanish-speaking community before that show. Then Ricki moved to LA for his General Hospital gigs and then to NYC for Broadyway. He worked his way while crafting his talent.
The interviews I saw him on while getting more famous (in Spanish) showed to me how nice of a guy he is.
Truly, he coming out would be so helpful to himself and to others. He and Anderson Cooper should not be afraid of coming out. They are PUBLIC FIGURES and in 2008. Hiding in the closet and when you have MILLIONS $$$ and don't really risk losing your job, should make it easy for them to be true to themselves.
As the movie Wizard of Oz says ... come out, come out!
