Ferndale Tonight: Mom with my brother Bill (and her original wrist)

I just wanted to thank everybody who wrote to me to check in on my suddenly accident-prone mom. She made it through surgery like a trooper and is home recovering with 10 screws and a metal plate in her right wrist. (Ouch!) Although I understand there's a lot of pain involved, the doctor anticipates she'll make a full recovery, for which I am very grateful.
