Just Curious

Does anyone else's favorite feline feel the need to go to the bathroom the second you change the litter box? WTF?????

OMG Yes!

We have four cats, the moment we go to clean and empty them they're always right there waiting with that look in their eyes.

As soon as we put the boxes back. they're in there getting them dirty again.

Years ago I took care of a family of cats, and yes, similar things have happened. Almost every instance of a kitty box cleanup results in a renewed "occupation" when I put it down.

Something tells me this is some sort of "feline incontinence psychosis," but I'm no pet psychiatrist. :)

Anyway, at least cats are tidy creatures, unlike some urban human counterparts that pees on sidewalks...

Oh, yes. This is universal with feline friends. It's like the Peter McNicol character on "Ally McBeal": fixated on a clean toilet...

We have three cats and every time we're scooping they're literally trying to get into the box...and they always go once we're done! Must be like running water and humans having to pee...who knows but it's pretty funny!

Well, I don't own a cat, but I love to see pictures of Larry! He may be an imp, but he's an adorable one!

The absolute SECOND I'm finished, my Miss Emmy is right in there!!

My other cat, Oscar, couldn't care less.

Absolutely. Mine does the same thing. I think it's their way of "reclaiming the territory."

My ex's cat does this too. Litter box gets cleaned and in she goes to use it as soon as he's done. Seems to be a cat thing.

BTW...you should also stop feeding your cat Starbuck's. I see she had to put her Venti down to go to the litterbox. Perhaps that has something to do with it.

Kenneth our cat is so ready to use it, he has actually jumped in the box as we are pouring new litter in. What can I say, he is crazy lol

Oh yeah, the little buggers just can't stand for a room to smell nice for a few seconds. I'm just glad they use it at all.

My old cat used to do that constantly. Usually he would stand nearby and talk to me while I changed the box. The two I have now seem to care less, to my surprise. I've even tried showing them that they have a clean place to dig, and they want none of it. Cats are strange and wonderful beasts.

Only my girl cat, she at least has the decency to wait until I'm finished.

We tend to pass by each other on the stairs, me going up, her coming down.

I think my cat wants to inspect the work to make sure that I did a good job cleaning her pan and used the right litter...

It's important to supervise humans.
