You Belong to Me

As regular readers know, I'm a bit of a Carly Simon freak. While all the other kids in junior high were out buying the latest Supertramp, Journey, Billy Squier and REO Speedwagon albums, I was spending my babysitting money filling in the gaps of my Carly collection. So needless to say, I've been pretty shaken up since I received these photos from my online pals Brian and Kevin in my e-mail yesterday. Brian (above) and Kevin (below) are the cutest couple in the (212) and are also huge Carly fans (well, Brian is). In fact, the first time Brian wrote to me was after seeing Carly listed in my favorite musicians on MySpace and we've been friendly since. It seems the boys are also fans of Carly's son, Ben Taylor, and went to see him at a gig on Saturday night at The Cutting Room (along with "good friend" David Saw). Who should be in the audience as well but Ben's mom, who came downtown to support him. (Could she look any more fun -- and she's even nice to fans!) How did I miss this one?!!!

To add insult to injury, then the boys ran into Joyce DeWitt, whom I bumped into at the Old Chelsea Post Office two Christmases ago, but didn't have the nerve to ask for a pic because it was "pre-get-a-picture-with-any-celebrity-no-matter-how-big-or-small" Kenneth at the wheel. Kevin -- a man after my own heart -- apparently couldn't let a Joyce DeWitt sighting go undocumented: Kevin: "Joyce!" Joyce: "WHAT?" (I told you she still looks fabulous!) I may sound vain, but how I wish this post was about me ... CARLY!!!!!!!!!!

*phew*...And now this!:):)
Wow!!!Thanks so much for making my day over here!:) It's so wonderful to see this living legend is still active. She is truly amazing.

I think i'm going to faint just
like Brittany Murphy's mom in that
"Little Black Book" flick where she fainted upon hearing Carly's voice over the phone.
Brittany Murphy sings all Carly's songs thru out the movie and thankfully,it wasn't bad at all.
I still watch the film, whenever there are reruns just for the sake of the songs and that final scene!!!
(Please pardon my excitement as I'm
just surprized!)
