'Brothers and Sisters' (and Old Friends)

I realize I'm probably the only gay guy in America who isn't watching "Brothers and Sisters," but I got this adorable e-mail about the show from my old college friend Chantal and I couldn't resist sharing it. These days, Chantal's been married forever and has a beautiful daughter and we haven't seen each other in probably 20 years or so, yet she was cute enough to think of me (and "blog readers") the other night.

Hey Kenny --
I'm awake with a bit of insomnia, so what better time to write you about the show "Brothers and Sisters." I wonder if it would be of interest to your blog readers. Have you seen it? This is a show about a large family and the relationships between the family members and their spouses/significant others. The only reason I watch this show is to see what's going to happen to Kevin, the gay guy. Kevin is a lawyer and the rest of the family all depend on him in one way or another. He provides legal services for the family business, provides emotional support to everyone, etc. He also drinks quite a bit and bickers a lot like the rest of his family. I think he's the best actor on the show.

In season 1 he had an on and off relationship with Scotty, I loved Scotty with his sunny disposition:

They dated and were bickering all the time and they split up. Then he ended up with Chad, the hunky actor. Chad was in the closet, then outed and had too much to deal with to be in a serious relationship. I didn't like Chad because he replaced Scotty. Here's someone's goofy montage about Chad, lol:

Then Kevin meets a very hot minister, Jason, and we get this great scene:

Now he's back with Scotty (yay!):

Well, if you want to watch more, abc.com has full episodes. I'd recommend last night's episode as it had a lot of Scotty and a great kiss scene. I bet someone will upload that kiss to Youtube because it was so beautiful.

Yawn, I better try to get a little sleep -- I think you're probably up by now.

Have a great week!

Big Hugs,

me

(Thanks, Chantal! I miss you. I hope we can rent the "Brothers and Sisters" DVDs sometime soon and stay up all night watching them. Call Greg!)

NO... don't root for Kevin to be with Scotty. Our boy Kev should be with that minister, Jason.

Anyway, do watch it. After the initial 4 episodes in the first season, it settles down and gets better.
