Barack v. Deval: 'It's Not The Same!'

If you don't believe them, then ask Vanilla Ice ...

They've acknowledged that they borrowed the phrases from each other; your attack is specious.

The question is: does it matter? Given the long history of borrowing of political rhetoric, not really. Obama acknowledged that he should have cited Deval, and I'm sure he'll be extra careful about it in the future.

This is a non-issue.

Who said anything about attacking? I LOVE Vanilla Ice!

I don't think your attacking the next President of The United States of America, but by putting this video on your site it does seem as if you are trying to knock him down.

He gives us hope. Hillary has given us support. I choose Hillary.

Barack is electable. Hillary is not. Plain and simple. I vote Barack because the right and middle would never in a million years vote for such a polarizing figure in American Politics, we can't have another four years of a Republican!

I'll put down any of them, EXCEPT McCain. We still don't know who's gonna be President, and Mrs. McCain really looks like she'd have that whole Peronist South American thing down where her enemies just disappear.

I guess when he says "It's time for change, he means a syllable."

Oh, brother. Are you actually working for the Hillary campaign now? The debate on the candidates' health care proposals is interesting. Analyzing similar platitudes in political speeches by two men who basically caucus together? An issue only a DNC hack could even consider for more than 30 seconds.

... and for the record, Hillary's speeches are neither original or inspiring!! That's worse in my book.

Ken, honey, love you--but stick to pop culture. We don't come to you for political commentary.

Every politician takes phrases from others. Nobody bitched when Hillary started talking about change - even though it was only after Barack's talk was gaining traction. And I didn't hear anyone call McCain a plagiarist when he said he was "fired up and ready to go"! And back to Hillary for a moment: where was the credit for that phony "change you can xerox" line that she so obviously did not come up with herself (since she could barely bring herself to say it)?

How'd you like your gal's "Xerox" line? She should have stuck with "The Jerk Store called, and they're running out of you!"

Sweet video!

I believe it was Karr who noted that in politics "plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose". It's a good idea to be a bit cautious about those who promise big changes (especially without much experience).

Why question if Kenneth is now working for Hilary?

It's quite clear he's taken a position against Queen and has no problem with "Under Pressure" being ripped off.

I see what's going on here.

He has the same campaign manager as Patrick; they're friends; these things happen.

Huffington Post did a piece the other day outlining some of the phrases Hillary has borrowed from Bill.

This is non-story. Let's move on.

Vanilla...take it away!

I find it disturbing that the Obama supporters are so anxious to silence critical discussion of their candidate. They remind a great deal of the group currently in the White house.
