Just Shoot Me!

Ever since I "upgraded" to Internet Explorer 7 my browser constantly crashes and gives me this error message. I (sort of) came to the conclusion that the problem stems from its interaction with Adobe Macromedia Flash Player. I searched the Web for fixes but to no avail. Any suggestions? P.S. Firefox has design flaws that do not work well for me on Blogger and Safari (at work) is even worse.

Uninstall (via the add/remove programs control panel) and reinstall latest version?

Welcome to the club Kenneth. I don't think the problem is related to just Adobe add-ins. I get it all the time and my laptop is used for music 'n movie storage only.

Please do us all a favor; as your voice is bigger than ours. Make some noise. and if you find a fix, display it prominently.

I'll join in on any protest you want me in. We're not alone is this one either.

It happens to me all the time. I have reinstalled Adobe. But the problem is definitely IE. I've tried all the fixes that have been recommended by reputable sites. I was hating on Dell for the longest, but I've since learned it's a IE problem. If you learn any fixes, please post them.

I can't upload the latest version of Flash Player. I have followed all of the instructions, started over, uninstalled, taken down firewalls, etc. and it still won't load. I keep getting in IE7 error message.

Reading your post makes me want to hum Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone

I had a similar problem on one computer at work. I uninstalled IE7 and then reinstalled it. Problem solved. I definitely would use version 7 if you can. The tabbed browsing is so much better than tons of open windows, at least the way I use it.

Firefox is great too, but IE7 is nicer to look at. Just my opinion. . .

Had the same problem here. I just uninstalled and re-installed. Seems to be working fine now.

I can only echo Anonymous. Get a Mac. I did and it has been heaven ever since. My loathing of Microsoft and AOL (an equally insidious company which I have almost completely dropped) has only increased as my online experiences have become more and more trouble-free. Honestly, get a Mac!
