Birthday Dinner at Moran's

The whole fam damily.

AJ works the camera while I check out my beautiful present.

Mom looks pretty, despite the much-longer-than-expected walk to the restaurant! Below, my stepfather, Gary, and my cute sister, Jenn.

As regular readers know, my entire family surprised me on Thursday night by coming to New York to help me celebrate my 40th birthday. On Friday night -- my actual birthday -- I was treated to the most wonderful dinner ever at Moran's, my favorite restaurant in Chelsea. I got a bunch of great gifts (more on that later in the week) but the piece de resistance had to have been the scrapbook my sister, Jennifer, made for me, featuring handwritten personal notes from everyone in the family and two of my closest friends, Mark and Nina. (I was reduced to tears in about five seconds -- I honestly have never seen something so heartfelt and beautiful in my life.) Just wanted to let everyone who wished me a happy 40th that it was indeed a very happy one. I'll probably post some more picture from the weekend (lots of kid-friendly stuff, like the Circle Line Cruise, the Museum of Natural History, Central Park) on my Flickr page, but here are four from Friday night that I thought I would share now.

That is so sweet! How nice of them...wow!!! Are you feeling okay, or do they know something you don't know??? Happy b'day, you look more like 30...younger, even, but if I went younger it would sound like ass-kissing.
