Andy Roddick made few mistakes in winning his opening match at the Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai. Even he was amused by one of them -- he sat in the wrong chair during a changeover. "He should have told me to get out of his chair," Roddick said, laughing after beating Ivan Ljubicic 6-4, 6-7 (9), 6-1 Sunday in this elite, eight-player event. With coach Jimmy Connors along, Roddick is looking to end his losing streak to world No. 1 Roger Federer, who also won his first match beating defending champion (and onetime nemesis) David Nalbandian 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 in the round-robin portion of the season-ending event at Qi Zhong Tennis Center. Last year, Federer beat Nalbandian to begin the tournament, then was upset by the Argentine in a five-set title match. (AP)
