Voila! It's Belinda Carlisle

For her first solo release in over a decade, Belinda Carlisle has recorded an album of '40s, '50s and '60s classic French chansons. "Voila!" is set for release on Feb. 6, 2007, and finds the quintessential California girl singing entirely in French.

"After I moved to France, I became familiar with the classic French chansons and a lot of French pop music," Carlisle explains. "I realized there was a whole world of artists and singers I was not familiar with. As I discovered all these amazing songs, I came to love this music and wanted to record some of them with a playful, contemporary feel."

You can listen to "Bonnie et Clyde" here -- and above, check out Belinda's recent appearance with Lea Thompson on "Celebrity Duets" doing her Number 1 hit "Heaven Is a Place on Earth."

The songs on "Voila!"

I'm 100% gay, but I must admit that Belinda Carlisle always made me swoon - she is just soooo beautiful, and I love her voice - from the days with the Go-Go's, to her solo stuff - and combining her with anything French is intoxicating!
