I never "got" Johnny Depp. Even back on "21 Jump Street," his pretty-boy looks did nothing for me and I figured he'd fade away just like Richard Grieco. Here we are nearly 20 years later and Johnny Depp is one of the biggest movie stars in the world. Newsweek has an interesting article about his reinvention, which also talks about some of the other great Hollywood rebirth roles of all time, like Frank Sinatra in "From Here to Eternity," Marlon Brando in "The Godfather" and Jodie Foster in "The Accused." I get him. I have always thought he had a sultry sexy feel about him. I remember "21", and even though I never go for the pretty type, there was something that intrigued me. He is getting better with age.
