This was written by a reporter I know on Capitol Hill:
Things have been very busy with the Cynthia story the last few days, chasing her around etc. Things got a little wilder today when McKinney's new bodyguard (a retired GA state trooper) pushed around one of our TV reporters.
I went down and started talking to some of the police on the second floor of the House and they were outraged. Several of them got on their radios immediately and before I knew it I had a couple sergeants and lieutenants talking to me. They have now launched an investigation of this guy.
To say the police were mad was an understatement. They were already worried about McKinney having bodyguards over the last few days and whether they were armed.
