Weekend Tennis Roundup

Titles for Shelton, de Minaur, Cerundolo and Muchova. Full report plus all the ATP beef that's fit to post BELOW.

Ben Shelton defeated Taylor Fritz 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 to win the Dallas Open title on Sunday. In an annoying a dramatic comeback, Shelton saved three championship points while trailing 4-5 (15-40) in the final set before breaking Fritz's serve in the following game to secure his first title of the year and his fourth ATP Tour title overall.

In doubles, the unseeded French duo of Théo Arribagé and Albano Olivetti surprised the top-seeded pair of Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the final.

Top seed Francisco Cerúndolo won the 2026 Argentina Open, defeating Luciano Darderi 6-4, 6-2 in the final. This victory marked Cerúndolo's fourth career ATP title and his first on home soil after losing in two previous finals in Buenos Aires (2021 and 2025).

In doubles, the Brazilian duo Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos took out Argentines Andrea Collarini and Nicolas Kicker 7–5, 6–3.

Alex de Minaur defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3, 6-2 in the Rotterdam ATP 500 final to claim his 11th career title and first indoors

Fourth seeds Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori successfully defended their Rotterdam doubles title.
Three weeks after losing to Hendrik Jebens and Ray Ho in the first round at the Australian Open, Bolelli and Vavassori got revenge on the qualifiers 6-3, 6-4.

Runners-up

And on the women's side: Karolina Muchova defeated Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko 6-4, 7-5 in the Qatar Open final to secure her first title since 2019  -- her maiden WTA 1000 crown and second overall -- and will rise from 19th to 11th in the world rankings. Great to see Mboko following up on her Canadian Open title, even if she came up short here after knocking out Rybakina, Ostapenko and Andreeva.
