At the risk of sounding like someone who's bragging about being stuck in time -- my tastes are sincere, not meant to impress or depress anyone -- this wrap-up of my listening practices from the past year might help those who can't quite believe it when I say I've never heard of/heard anything by [insert artist from the past 20 years here]. When I finally succumbed to streaming music it actually had the opposite effect on me than it did on many others: Instead of introducing me to new music, it allowed me to finally listen to the back catalogs of all the artists I liked but could never (as a child) afford to fully explore. What an adventure it's been to finally know what I was missing!
P.S. It should be noted that my stats were probably affected by the fact that I tried REALLY HARD to like the new Everything but the Girl album! 😩
