RIP, Peter Scolari

 

Peter Scolari dies after a two-year battle with cancer: Emmy-winning ‘Bosom Buddies,’ ‘Newhart,’ ‘Girls’ actor was 66

This one hurts. Scolari was one of my earliest crushes -- he looked so cute in his 1980 blazer and tie -- and then went on to all but overtake "Newhart." (He and Stephanie were great, but the season Michael wound up on the looney bin was a bit much!) Was so nice to see him get recognized for his work as Hannah's gay dad on "Girls." Just a sad, sad day.
