Tweet Nothings

Biden officially recognizes June as Pride Month and vows to fight for LGBTQ rights.

Confused by the way this is being framed by Mr. Pierce. We can all agree that we want what is best for Naomi Osaka -- the question is how to go about it. (Different rules for different people? Does she need to find another profession, a la Kristy McNichol?) The relevance of news conferences isn't the issue here and moving the goalpost isn't helping anyone.

Also, am I the only one who feels that if this were, say, Sofia Kenin (or Genie Bouchard a few years ago) then the reaction would be very different -- perhaps even assailing the player as "entitled" and exercising her "privileged” existence by thinking she deserves “special treatment" while others are contributing to the greater sport? I don’t think Osaka is guilty of these things but 55 million bucks says the non-tennis fans who feel the need to chime in would not be supportive of most other players going through similar issues.

Now this is the kind of tennis story we should be seeing on front pages

So press conferences ARE dangerous!

Got mine and I'm ready to get stamped
