Mug Shot Monday

I know I usually reserve this space for comely criminals. (Can you imagine looking like this guy but wasting your life being a sad-sack Trumplican?)

But as the U.S. House of Representatives prepares to make Donald Trump the first president in the history of our nation to be impeached twice, it seemed only fitting to share this roundup of the latest on the ugliest man of my lifetime, one who is guilty of nothing less than committing treason.

Clear and Present Danger: You can't get 56% of Americans to agree on many things in politics, but that's how many think Trump is too unstable to remain in office nine more days. Read HERE.

Danger Zone: Rep. Peter Meijer (R-Mich.) said that while some GOP members of Congress "share responsibility" for misleading the supporters of Donald Trump who stormed the U.S. Capitol last week, others feared physical violence if they opposed objections to the 2020 election results. Read HERE.

White With Rage: The world was shaken by a shocking, odious sight: Confederate battle flags inside the National Statuary Hall; gallows with nooses on the National Mall outside. With glee, two rioters reenacted the murder of George Floyd on the steps of the National City Christian Church—one kneeling on the neck of the other, fully aware of the cameras capturing their laughter. Four people lost their lives. There is no misunderstanding the message, nor the mission. Read HERE.

Hit Him Where It Hurts: How's this for "letting the market decide"? The PGA of America has canceled plans to hold a major golf tournament at a Trump Organization golf course in New Jersey next year, citing concern over the organization's "brand." Read HERE.

Bully Pulpit: And did you hear that Trump threatened Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) last week on stage during the president's final pre-runoff rally in Georgia? Read HERE.

Blow Job: Trump's lackeys must also be punished, writes Charles Blow. Read HERE.
