Yikes. For the first time I am beginning to wonder if the U.S. Open is going to come together, after all. If the ATP pro event in Washington has been canceled because of “international travel restrictions,” then who’s to say the same restraints — or more — won’t be in effect Aug. 31? (Ditto for the “Cincinnati” warmup event scheduled for the week before in Flushing Meadows.)
Speaking of which: To make up for our spoiled wedding, Damian and I were considering going to Paris for the rescheduled French Open starting in late September, only Americans have been banned from traveling to the European Union because we’re a country half made up of idiots. Please let there be a fair election in November.
