Song of the Day: 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry' by Joe Henry and Rosanne Cash

Sorry to read about Joe Henry's cancer battle on Rosanne Cash's Instagram page. Here's wishing him well in his fight against this insidious disease. Details of his diagnosis sparked some PTSD for me as they mirrored my brother Bill’s so closely. Is there truly no better way to diagnose most cancers than waiting until someone is doubled over in "incapacitating" pain and it's already Stage 4?

Enjoy this adorable video of Joe and Rose chatting and performing -- in addition to "I'm So Lonesome," which starts at about an hour and 10 minutes in, you can hear Rosanne do "The World Unseen" and "Modern Blue" and Joe do "Believe" and "After the War" -- at the Los Angeles Public Library in 2016.

Prostate cancer can be detected early with a simple PSA blood test. Men 50 and older should be screened. Men younger than 50 with a family history of prostate cancer should be screened.
Because of family history I was screened at 46 to 'set a baseline'. Instead of a baseline, they found that I was already developing prostate cancer. I had surgery right after I turned 47 and as of my last scan/blood test (a couple of weeks ago) I have been cancer free for 3.5 years.
