If I've said it once, I've said it a million times. Gun nuts don't want weapons for "protecting their homes." They want them to act tough and to settle bar fights, cat fights and arguments they never would have picked had they not been packing heat. If you don't believe me, just read the news.

You know I have to say after reading an article about this I am not unsympathetic to the gun owner. Apparently, two other women had pulled the gun owner's daughter's hair and began assaulting her, getting her to the ground and continuing to assault her. She didn't pull the gun so her daughter could get the notebook, she pulled the gun because the women wouldn't stop beating her daughter up. Maybe I am not fully awake enough to process this but I'm kinda thinking the other two women were at fault and kind of deserved what they got. I still think the fact a gun was brought into an altercation over a notebook is assanine (and that the woman brought a gun into a store). But my sympathies are really with the mother/gun nut. Go figure.
T-Rump Country needs to go back on its meds. This is shocking, if unsurprising.
@macguffin: People should not be laying hands on one another. But a gun is the last thing these people needed to de-escalate the situation. It's a miracle no one was killed!
