Song of the Day: 'Country of the Blind' by the Faith Brothers

Playing this one to honor Billy Franks (ex-Faith Brothers) who my friend Tracie Young posted has passed away too soon. (That's the two of them at a one-off comeback gig of Ms. Young's in 2009.)

AllMusic remembers his band as a passionate brand of rock, spiced with an old soul feel, that allowed them to address important political and moral issues without needing to preach. Their debut single, "Country Of The Blind," in 1985, set the tone, an attack on a nation in the clutches of consumer fever and a decaying welfare state.

RIP.
